Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Shouks at shouks.com and in the Shouks app. By creating an account or using Shouks you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Shouks.
What Shouks provides
Shouks hosts private marketplaces. Each marketplace owner sets their own rules and decides who may join; we provide the underlying platform — accounts, listings, messaging, and moderation tools. Transactions between buyers and sellers happen directly between them. Shouks is not a party to those deals, does not take possession of goods, and does not escrow funds. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing, and you transact at your own risk.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything illegal, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, or that discloses another person’s private information; do not list prohibited or counterfeit items; do not spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service. Marketplace owners and Shouks may remove content, suspend listings, and revoke membership or accounts that violate these terms or a marketplace’s rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post. You grant Shouks a limited licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service — for example, showing your listing to members of the marketplace where you posted it. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
Disclaimers and liability
Shouks is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shouks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes, losses, or transactions between members. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Shouks after a change means you accept the updated terms.
